This project in the framework of the ESPON initiative of the European Commission tries to analyse the impacts of the EU transport and TEN policies on the regional development by developing appropriate indicators and simulation approaches. Of focal interest is to answer the question whether or not the objectives set out in the last EU White Book on Transport (e.g. cohesion) have been fulfilled through all transport infrastructure projects. The task of RRG was the implementation of different network scenarios, the provision of excerpts of the RRG GIS Database for scenario simulation, and the enhancement of the database with respect to short sea shipping lines and motorways of the sea.
